    • Verda Bissey, 88, Clay City, died at 5:50 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 6, in the Flora Care Center.

      Services will be in the Hollelton-Bookout-Engelmeieer Funeral Home in Clay City

      Mrs. Bissey was born Oct. 14, 1896, in Wayne County, the daughter of Alpha and Lottie (Michel) Rogers. She married J. Milnor Bissey April 20, 1915, in Clay City and he preceded her in death Aug. 8, 1967.

      She was a member of the Bethel United Methodist Church.

      Survivors include five sons, Kenneth, Robert, Donald, all of Clay City; William, Houston, Texas; Larry, Calhoun; two daughters, Mrs. Knight (Lucille) Harris and Mrs. Jimmie (Lois) McKinney, both of Clay City; a brother, Rev. Roy Rogers, Fairfield; two sisters, Mrs. Edna Gibbs, Fairfield; Marjorie Staley, Nebraska; 21 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
