  Cleo Elza Sullens was born in Crawford County, IL to Solomon and Rosabell Sullens September 16, 1892 and departed this life on April 15, 1959 at the age of 66 years, 6 months, and 29 days. On August 4, 1915 he was united in marriage to Edna Wogan and two children were born to this union. Leone and Erba (who passed away in infancy.) During the early years of his marriage he trusted Christ as his personal Saviour and with his wife united with the Sailor Springs Baptist Church. Several years ago he moved his membership to the Clay City Baptist Church. Through the years he was a faithful and willing member having served as deacon, trustee, superintendent of the Sunday School and music director. Four sisters, two brothers and his parents have preceded him in death. Besides his wife, Edna, and daughter, Leone Mayo, he leaves to mourn his passing two sisters, Mattie Miller and Anna Palmer; a brother, Everett; five grandchildren, Carolyn Martin, Don, Doris and Jerry Mayo; five great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a host of neighbors and friends. He was a devoted husband, a loving father, and to know him was to love him.
