      Joseph was born in Clay City and died in East St. Louis. He was united in marriage to Miss Ida Denning March, 1892. Three children were born, Lorena and Mable being survivors at the time of his death. He lost his wife March 14, 1898.

      Dec. 6, 1900 he married Mrs. Glen Stafford.
