Notes - Richard C. Adamson, 75, of Casper, passed away June 22, 2010. He was born on January 17, 1935, in Casper, the son of Herman C. and Lenora Rayburn Adamson. Richard was a lifelong resident of Casper, graduating from Natrona County High School. After graduation, he followed his older brother, Robert, into the U.S. Navy, serving on the U.S.S. Coral Sea. After his honorary discharge, he married Diane Harlow, and they had four children. They later divorced. Richard then married Dixie Carver. Their favorite holiday was Christmas and they would always throw a Christmas Eve party that was always a favorite family tradition, making certain nobody was ever forgotten. He loved reading, the Denver Broncos, and going to Casper Rockies baseball games. Richard was a longtime member of the F.O.E. Eagles. Survivors include daughters, Jane Adamson, Wendy Adamson (companion Brad Swenson), and Kaylene (husband Joe) Skaj; son, Wade Adamson (fiancée Connie Chavez); 10 grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren. Memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 29, 2010, at Oregon Trail State Veterans Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to Central Wyoming Hospice.
